Use Shalun to connect with central Tainan
THSR Tainan is in Guiren, outside the historic centre. The station has a connecting corridor to TRA Shalun. Check a Shalun Line departure toward Tainan and allow time to walk between the systems and obtain the correct ticket. For a direct conventional-rail journey, choose TRA Tainan as the destination from the outset.
Finish the route to your accommodation
Central TRA Tainan is a useful arrival point for the city, but not every hotel or attraction is within walking distance. Check the last local connection after the intercity train, especially after an evening flight. Add waiting time and any final bus or taxi when comparing THSR with TRA. Keep the return station in the booking confirmation consistent with your chosen rail system.
