How to Buy Taiwan Train Tickets: THSR, TRA and Collection
Compare official THSR and TRA booking, station names, payment, ticket collection and manual booking confirmation before your Taiwan rail journey.
TaiwanTrain is an independent service, not the official THSR or TRA website. Where booking is offered, availability confirmation and ticket fulfilment are manual. Payment does not guarantee ticket issuance. Check the operator’s current timetable and ticket rules for your travel date.
Choose an official ticket or a booking request
For direct operator purchase, use THSR’s official booking site or T Express, or TRA’s official site or app. TaiwanTrain is an independent service: where its booking option is available, the request requires manual availability confirmation and ticket fulfilment. A schedule, quote, order number or successful payment is not itself an issued ticket. Follow the final ticket or collection instructions before travelling.
Before you pay: a five-point check
Confirm the operator and both stations, the travel date in Taiwan time, the train and seat type, the passenger details, and the full amount and currency. Compare any service fee with the operator fare separately. Read the payment deadline and collection method, then save the booking reference. Check change and refund conditions before paying, particularly when connecting from an international flight.
After payment and before boarding
Check the order’s actual ticket status and the delivery or collection instructions for that sales channel. Do not assume an email receipt, payment screen or generic QR code is accepted at the gate. If confirmation is missing, contact the original seller with the order reference before placing another paid order. Do not send full passport or card details in a public message.
